So, I’ve been absent again… But I have no internet at home at the moment, and haven’t since around September. Sure, I could blog at school, but…meh. I get preoccupied. Anyhoo, I hope to be getting internet again soon, then I can fill all (3) of you in on my adventures.

2010 Recap

Not the catchiest title, but whatevs.

So this is it peeps! New Year’s Eve 2010! I am currently at Pastor Mark’s house gearing up for the first-ever theBELONGING youth lock-in. It’s gonna be a blast! I love these guys!

Anywho, 2010 has probably been one of the best years of my life, but I’m more excited for 2011 than I ever have been for any other year.

First:
Fondest memories of 2010.
- Hearing God’s voice more and experiencing my own spiritual revival.
- Meeting awesome people on Treasure Hunts.
- Anything dealing with theBELONGING youth group.
- Seeing my class of 2010 peeps graduate and go off to college.
- Making so many new friends.
- Watching one of my closest friends propose to his girlfriend in front of the entire youth group.
- Making my final career choice.
- Acquiring Rosetta Stone. ;P

Things I’m looking forward to in 2011:
- Taking a French class
- Getting my AA and transferring to University of Florida.
- Going to Zech and Jasmine’s wedding.
- Meeting new friends.
- God doing major things in the Homestead/Miami area.

I’d go more in-depth, but the kids are beginning to arrive. I hope you all have a great New Year and enjoy 2011!

Birthday Blog Version 20.0

This is my birthday blog, it isn’t very long.

So yes, the 20th was my Golden Birthday; I turned 20! I don’t feel 20 though. O.o

In addition to blessing me with friends and sushi and stuff on my birthday, God chose to give me an early present as I finally GOT MY VERY OWN GUITAR on Wednesday! Whoo! She’s an acoustic Ibanez, and I’m pretty sure her name is going to be Andi Rose. I’m lame, but whatever. It was truly God who got me that guitar. I’ll explain more in depth in my next post…If I remember. D:

Thanks to everyone for the hundreds of birthday wishes! I feel so loved. =]

:Insert Gibberish That Indicates Exasperation:

I titled my blog as such because I couldn’t think of any other title, and I didn’t want to put “asdfghjkl;hfbovweh!” as the title. So, I was only frustrated with not being able to think of a title. Nothing else.

I couldn’t think of a title because…Gah. Do you ever just feel like you want to talk about and share God, but have no idea what to say? I’ve been falling into a blogging lapse lately because of that. I’m at the point where no matter what interesting thing happens in my life during the week, I just want to blog about God and His goodness and stuff, but I don’t know what to say. And I don’t wanna have 38 consecutive posts that say nothing but “asdfghgkdhghjdbf God is so amazing!” y’know? I want so much to speak of His goodness and awesomesness and grace and love, etc, etc, but have no idea how to translate the jumble in my mind into words. So this is my conundrum. Tips?

In other news, our band Mo[u]rning Comes now has two songs done and ready. I’d say that’s pretty good progress for only having had 4 or 5 practices. I don’t have my band mates’ permission to post up the video I took, but I watch it at least once a day. IT’S SO GOOD! And yeah, call me biased, but it really is.

After Some Prayer…

I came to the conclusion last week that God is calling me to stay here in Miami. [For those that don't know, I had my heart set on transferring to the University of Florida, over 6 hours from home.] I’m still not fully clear on why God wants me to stay here, but I did learn just yesterday that I’m not the only one being called to Miami. God’s gonna do something big down here, and I can’t wait to see what goes down and what my role will be in all this.

So, it’s not Tuesday, and this isn’t my “song of the week,” but I absolutely love the imagery this song gives. “End of the Age” by Becoming The Archetype:

God Loves You?

Something that’s stirring in my heart at the moment is the state of Christianity in America. There are so many Atheists in the United States. Why? Maybe a lot of it has to do with our culture, but I also notice that “Christians” in this country aren’t doing a good job of being what the name entitles: Little Christ. Before I continue, know that I’m not passing judgments or anything, I’m just making an observation.

Wherever Jesus went, He set people free, gave them a new lease on life, and turn everything upside down. He was so revolutionary that the Pharisees had to kill Him to stop His ministry and miraculous acts. And even death didn’t stop Him. He died for us, He rose for us. Everything He did on this earth was for us; the undeserving. He hung out with murderers, tax collectors, prostitutes, adulterers, etc. Somewhere over the last 2000+ years, we seem to have either forgotten that, or chosen to ignore. We’ve turned Christianity into a “members-only” club. Instead of being accepting and loving of others, we instead protest soldiers’ funerals saying that our troops are dying overseas because we’re letting gays get married. Seeing so-called Christians with signs that read “God Hates Fags” makes incredibly upset, yet sad at the same time. Stop picking and choosing what’s convenient to you from the Bible. Stop judging the gays, the teen mothers, the women who get abortions, the hookers, the drunkards, the strippers, etc. Judgment is God’s alone. We are not called to judge, and certainly not to hate. We are called to love and to be love. How do you expect the world to come to Christ when the only Christ they know is the angry one who spews hate?

If you’re reading this now and a “Christian” has ever told you you’re going to Hell, or that you’re an abomination because of your tattoos, sexuality, past, etc, then I really do apologize. Those people aren’t what Jesus is about, and I’m sorry you’ve had to experience that. I encourage you, if you still want anything to do with this revolutionary, living, loving Jesus, please give Him a chance. It’s never too late. There’s no paper to sign, no club to join, no amount of good deeds to perform. Simply believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and you shall be saved. Clean slate. Fresh start. No matter who you are or what you’ve done, He still loves you and wants a relationship with you.

OHAITHAR!

Bleh. So, it’s past midnight, and I’m sitting in bed listening to The Prayer Room (link is in the Doobly-Do ———>) and typing this blog. My head hurts. Before I continue, know that I work at an ice cream store similar to Cold Stone that just opened up oh, five weeks ago. I worked tonight. It was our busiest night. Incomplete sentences. Sentence fragment (which, “sentence fragment” is also a sentence fragment. Lawlz.). We were busy for at least five straight hours tonight. However, I made my largest tip tonight. Blessing the tip jar in Jesus’ name does work. ;] I’m home now, with a headache, but glad the day is coming to an end. And thank you God for blessing me with money!

I’m not thinking clearly anymore. I’m done. Good night err’one!
