Sunday Wrap-Up (Ritz Style)

So of course, Travis blogs his weekly “Sunday Wrap-Up”, but since he put me in the spotlight in his blog now, it’s my turn to give an account on the events that happened Sunday.

So, Travis is on his Johnson Family Vacation,  meaning that this past Sunday we had Pastor Paul preaching the Word.  Meanwhile, I was doing something I had never done before…I was manning the lights. =]  Casey left me in charge of the lights.   They warned me that paul likes to walk around a lot while he’s preaching, but he behaved himself the whole time. ;]  We started off with a pretty soulful praise and worship time, during which many people were moved by the Spirit.  Afterwards, we watched the “Cribs” video (Nice work Casey!  It better be on YouTube soon! ), and the trailer for the upcoming “Jesus of Surburbia” message series.  After we all enjoyed a good laugh at the expense of Casey breaking-and-entering Jesse’s house, Paul proceeded to start the lesson (despite the blinding spotlight in his face).  He spoke well, and according to my source (Mom…) you could feel the Holy Spirit in the place.  Me?  I was fighting catching up on the 4 1/2 hours of sleep I had gotten that night, while trying to work the lights… Hopefully I will have an even better time next Sunday, for it’s the day before my birthday (which, coincidently is on the day school starts…The 20th).
